to wish every one a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...
and for all the lights and pretty things to come out of storage to help us celebrate this special time of year...we found something new under our tree this year and thought I might share it :)

some how Santa's boots got under our tree!!!

we put our tree up and i realized that I have some new ornaments that really say it all for this time of year

and of course the snowflake...really sums up the season for me :)

we have a tree every year but this year Shane let me pick out my Christmas present early and I got a new tree...I love it!!!
then we had some fun with the dogs this year and dressed them up in Christmas sweaters and took photos of them in front of the tree...

I always love it when I get the chance to take photos of little ones...they usually don't sit still for very long and it takes awhile for them to warm up to you but that is half the fun. I love capturing them when they are just running around and being themselves.
There is nothing like watching a child warm up to you...all the smiles come out and then they can't get enough of the camera.
Ella was just like that...she didn't want anything to do with me at first and then after a bit she was all smiles and running around!!
We started in the living room at her Tia's house...in the cutest outfit to go with the cutest letters her Tia had made for this shoot.

once Ella warmed up to me then she was off and in the curtains playing peek-a-boo!!

time for an outfit change and to another part of the room...but we always ended up back at the piano and the curtains :)

I got of lot of this cause she was so quick...LOL!!!

4th of July

our 4th of July fun with my best friend Terri Averett and her family...

we had lots of supplies

and lots to eat...to help us get through our supplies...LOL

we made carna asada and all the fixens

then came all the fun

the guys had a race with these little trucks...

hilarious :)

starting to get dark now and then it was time for the big show...I can't tell you how awesome it is to have fireworks going off in every direction and to feel humbled by the patriotism that they represent...I feel so blessed every time to live where we live and to have the freedoms we have...and for those man and woman that make the ultimate sacrifice so we can!!

It is so great when family can get together especially when it is family that has not been together in years...
I had so much fun having my parents and my aunt and uncle here with us this summer.

A Day to Remember

This was the first time I had done an out of town wedding and not known the
Bride and Groom
Jake and Sara are two of the most heartfelt people I have ever met...they make you feel like one of the family the moment you meet them.
I had the pleasure of meeting them for the first time at the pre wedding party the night before the big day...I couldn't have felt more at home.
I don't know all the details of their story but I do know they are going to have a great life together.
A life that started on this special day...no it wasn't all blue skies but it was perfect.
It was a day of Love and Commitment
a day of ever after!

of course the first thing is the rings...the circle...the eternal pattern...the never ending

then it is sealed with a kiss...a hug...a smile

then it is time for the party...as you can see that is no problem for Jake :)

On Saturday last my family and I headed to Billings after a long day at the rodeo grounds for a contest.
We headed to the mall after a lovely dinner at Johnny Carinoes and came across something...
A CARNIVAL
carnivals are so nostalgic to me...they have been around since forever :)
they are kind of magical to me!!
I just finished reading Water For Elephants a couple weeks back and then to run into a carnival ( I know it is not the same as a circus) but it just made me feel like I stepped back in time.

Catching up...

Back in October of 2010...
Shane, RJ and myself took a road trip to California.
We went to take some horses down to his parents house and while there we had a family photo shoot. It was so fun having all of us together.
Thanks to Tonya for taking the time to put up with this crowd and for your talent.

I had never had professional head shots done and I am so glad that she was able to take time and do these for me...

The Last Snowfall

we had our last heavy snowfall a few days back and RJ had the idea to finally make a snowman to say goodbye to the snow :)

she was so cute trying to get the head to stay on

then came the long long nose...she later figured out to snap it in half to make it stay!!!

A Goodbye Photo Shoot...sneak

last week I was called to do a last minute photo shoot so that the Kawano Family could have photos of their whole family before one of the sons with his family went off to serve in Japan for 2 years.
It was cold and windy but that is not what they will remember...they will remember being together having fun, laughing, being silly, being a family.

On this day I had so much fun getting to know the Stewart family
I was to do the whole family but only 3 of the kids showed up with their families so we ended up doing individual groups instead!!
There are 3 different families so I am doing them in 3 different posts along with a whole group session indoors which will be the 4th.
We had fun in Cowley with all it's new construction and old...2 of the boys in the Stewart family worked on the project in Cowley so it was perfect.

even though it was freezing outside it was a gorgeous day for photos
had fun around the town of Lovell doing Tyler Hetland's senior portraits.

had fun over by the sugar factory then made our way to the back of the Hyart Theater...

then on to Main Street

not only did we have fun outside but a couple of days before we had fun in the Studio

A few weeks back I picked up this bike that RJ had wanted
so when she came home and saw it sitting in the dinning room for her
you could just imagine the reaction.
She immediately wanted to go to the skate park and try it out.
and this is what happened

then Daddy had to show her how it is done...I think he was having more fun than she was!!!

and as usual there was RJ just looking on and laughing at her Daddy!!

so she gave it one more try on the big ramp

then decided to stick to the smaller one until she gets use to it.

I had a great opportunity to do a mini session with the Hultgren family a couple of weeks back. I couldn't get enough of baby Claire. She didn't know what to think of me at first but then she warmed up...

she was nothing short of adorable!!!

people that know me or just know my work know I LOVE bridges...and this one is the cutest little thing but the family made it even better!!

I LOVE that these turned out so good...what is better than a baby in a basket!!!

I loved all the little touches from the flower in her hair to her little brown shoes...and the basket even matched :)

I think this one is my favorite of the whole shoot.

although this one is a good runner up...looks like she is doing the shhhhhh...so cute!!

RJ wanted to try a new sport this year and Volleyball is what she chose.
They played 3 games until 15...her and her team won all three.
She was even able to make one of the points :)

well not exactly...see we live in a town that celebrates Halloween on Saturday if it falls on Sunday...so we had Halloween on the 30th this year.
kind of strange I know but what can you do :)

Going back I realized I never put up a whole post of this Fabulous girl
Amanda :)
It was such a pleasure getting to know her and her mom the day we did this photo shoot!
She is a girl that I can relate to...a Cowgirl :)
She is a girl with confidence, beauty, and poise.

we drove up the mountain to get to a couple of spots I have been dying to shoot at

This waterfall is just off the side of the road...so glad she was willing to get in close :)

we got there early so as the sun started to come up we moved spots...

Amanda was willing for me to put her anywhere to get the next shot...and yes as usual I got my foot stuck in mud...yuck!!

after the mud and sliding down the hill to get off of where we had climbed we settled down on the road again...put her in the chair, my favorite chair :)

fall is my favorite time of year and can you blame me...look at these colors!!

it was fun to get to know Logan, their oldest, a bit better

and then there are the girls...well what can I say about them that most don't already know? Just that they are the best, most fun, hilarious, outgoing girls I have the privilege of knowing.

I realize at times that life no matter if you know something is coming that it is always a surprise.
That is exactly how life is.
Personally I wouldn't want it any other way...what fun would that be?!?!
These 2...Brian and Kristen asked me to do a regular photo session and unbeknown to Kristen, Brian called me up and told me what was going to happen :)
I of course was SO excited!!
They wanted beach photos and of course it just happened to be the one non sunny day in California...but we made the best of it
with a walk down the Huntington Beach Pier

to find ourselves at Ruby's and there colorful walls

it was fun to find that each wall had such different texture...

it is very easy to see the LOVE between two people and Brian and Kristen have plenty for each other...but then it wouldn't be Brian if you didn't get a laugh in every 5 minutes either...so in between a shot or 2 I would get faces like this ;)
Kristen is a character too and she just fits right in with Brian and his antics!!

I came to find out that going to Huntington Pier was not a whim rather it was the place of their first date.

after we had fun on the pier it was time to see what we could find under it...

I had no idea when Brian was going to surprise her so I just kept shooting

with the rain starting to get harder I didn't know how much longer they would want to keep going and then it happened...
that question every girl dreams about
"will you marry me"

never seen it first had as a witness I got a perspective not many get...
first comes the shock of the whole thing

then the seeing the ring for the first time...and the answer of "YES"

and the anticipation of will it fit...and it does...perfectly!!

then to seal it with a kiss

LOVE is the one thing that you can always count on...it never fails!!

it is at that moment that you know everything in your life has now changed and you never can imagine life without that one person again.

again I ask...would you want it any other way but to be surprised?!?!?!

I know you 2 will be so happy together...it is rare to find 2 people that fit together so easily.
I wish you nothing but happiness.
Thank you so much for entrusting me with these precious memories.

I can't tell you in person how this felt to be a witness to such a BEAUTIFUL moment in 2 peoples lives. Not only because Brian is family but because he in-trusted me to capture a very important fleeting moment that he can never get back.
So I hope the images I caught on camera tell the story the way I hoped they would.

Brian you have started this new chapter of your life off right and now you have allot to live up to. I wish you both the best and again so grateful for the memories.

I has been such a privilege getting to know the Jensen family.
Last year they asked me to do their family photos and now I have had the chance to do their oldest daughter, Chelsea's Senior portraits and then do Krista's Author photos.
I can't tell her how thankful I am for their loyalty and for giving me the chance to get to know them all the more each time I see them.
This is Krista the "Author"...I LOVE saying that it goes so well :)
she is a newly published author and her book will be released sometime in the spring of 2011.
I seriously can't wait to read it!!

it was so fun finding all the different spots

but I have to say the car shots are my favorite...i'm just saying!!

she said she was nervous and on top of it getting eat'n alive by mosquitoes

but you couldn't tell :)

she was a natural and it didn't take much to keep her laughing

like I said we found a couple of new spots and I am in LOVE with them

and then there are the old favorites...the bridge!!

just like her daughter she has those striking blue eyes...

gorgeous...and you would never know it from looking at her she is a mother of 4

Every time I take photos of a Senior it brings back so many memories of when I was a Senior.
I started thinking about College and what I was going to do with my life and how was I going to accomplish all this that I had planned.
Well the road took some turns on me and some major twists and I think I finally after 15 years have found the straight path again.
I know for most it will be easier than the road I took but I can't say that I regret anything that happened along the way cause it defines me and it makes me see things more clearly.
So Seniors may you find your road to your future more easily but don't get down on yourself if it takes a turn you were not expecting cause it will only make you see things more clear when you have to make another turn to get back to the road you need.
This Senior...Chelsea Jensen is on her way and when I got to see her through the lens of my camera this is what I saw...

a girl that is not just Beautiful...

but very balanced...

I had the best time getting to know her more

she has her whole life ahead of her and I am so grateful to have been able to capture just one of many moments...

and may they be as Beautiful as this one!!!

don't loose that laughter cause that is what will get you through allot in life...

and one with a little pazazz!!!

I am posting out of order at the moment but I realized that I never posted about RJ's time at fair.
This was her first year doing 4H and at the end of the summer they go and do County Fair and get judged on their abilities with their horse or if they have other livestock then they would be judged on those.
Since this was her first year we stuck with just one animal and of course she did horse. She used Princess( grandpa's horse) and did amazing for her first time.

they judged the horse and the handler in this one

it was a small course they had to work with and everything had to be just right

she did ribbon in this but all those that participated got a ribbon...so she doesn't like to count this one...LOL

she had sooooo much fun just being able to stay on her horse all day and hang with her friends that love doing what she loves doing...being a cowgirl!!

now this is an event she had never tried before, it is called pole bending. You have to weave in and out of the poles and do it as fast as you can...

and for her first time and out of about 20 kids she got 5th place :)
she was so excited!!

so needless to say we of course are going to do it again next year...and adding a pig to the mix. She wants to raise and sell a pig at fair next year, so wish us luck on that one :)

at the end of it all she received 6 ribbons...2 second place for show, 5th place for barrels, 5th place for pole bending, 5th in western pleasure & 3rd in western riding.
We are so proud of you RJ!!!

I know I have said this before but it is bitter sweet to have a 5th grader
This her 1st day of school...
she wore a smile and was full of excitement...she couldn't get out the door fast enough to meet all her friends.

I had to chase after her to catch a few more shots :)

and then last but not least her new teacher, Mr. Harsh...scary name and tall but a nice guy...she said he is strict but funny :)

when I get the chance to go to Jackson I take it...not only cause of the sites but cause I get to visit with my Aunt Mary, Uncle Eddie, Cousin Jay and now his sweet heart Bliss.
I got the chance not just to visit but to do photos of them...what a sweet family they make :)

we got up early to get these done and I tell you the sites were amazing...and you can't do better than the Tetons as the background.

it was so much fun to spend time with all of them...it had been something like 10 years since I last saw Jay...he is all grown up now and so handsome :)

we went to a couple of my Aunts favorite spots and to tell you the truth if I lived there they would be my favorites too

last weekend I got to take a trip up north to Great Falls and visit with my sister and her new family...
of course got to take photos too :)
let me introduce you to her and all 8 of the kids...yes I said 8 kids :)

my sister Toni and her new Husband Aaron...now have 8 children together...they each had 4 of their own

to have that large of a group you have to jump for joy...

don't they just fit together perfectly?!!

sometimes this was the only shot I could get...it took allot to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time and smile...but I think we got some great shots...

looks like you are all off to a great start...lots of LOVE will do that :)

this a tag along from the post I put up the other day of our trip to Thermop...
while there we also saw a really awesome car show
here are just a few of my favorites from that day

I have always been in Love with anything antique and so these cars, trucks and even motorcycles really catch my eye

it just wouldn't be vintage without the dice in the window :)

the paint job on this bike was amazing...

this sign was on the side of one of the old trucks...it is so true!!

and of course it wouldn't be complete without the Chevy :)

now this one has a story...we got to know the owners of this unique car...it was all hand made and crafted out of steel...
they were so sweet they even let RJ sit in it...

they said "what else is it for but to be enjoyed by everyone"
RJ was thrilled to be able to get in :)

so that day was a great day...saw allot and took allot home with us as far as memories.

on our way home from Utah from Shane's family reunion we stopped off in Thermopolis for a break.
We have lived here 6 six years and never walked this pathway...it was really a site.
Not just cause of the incredible views or the mineral pools but because this is what I got to see...

it humbles me to see the LOVE that Rylie and her Dad share...sometimes they are like 2 peas in a pod...

they are so much alike...

she is always in awe with anything he explains to her or shows her...

when we got to the swinging bridge...which was freaky to be on...they both leaned over the edge at the same exact time...like I said, 2 peas in a pod :)

it really makes life so much more fun and exciting when you get to spend it with your most favorite people everyday...

I see so many different things through the lens of my camera but this will always be my favorite view...my 2 most favorite people :)

it was not a long trail but it was long enough to be able to have these memories for a lifetime...
along the way I spotted some other things as well that I can't help but to share :)

I love wildlife...

have you ever seen such clear water...looks so inviting :)

then this little guy...he was so cute just had to shoot him...LOL

we piled 10 candles on an ice cream sandwich...this is what she wanted for her cake this year...so I was more than happy to make her wish come true :)

she says she even feels older...not sure how much older you can actually feel at 10
but ok I will give her that :)

got all the candles out with one breath...has to be a challenge at 10 but she did it

and then got a kiss from Dad...can't believe our baby is 10...did I say that already?!?
seriously this is so weird :)
but I know I still many years to go before she is old enough she has to take a breath to blow out all of her candles.

we had the opportunity to get out family photos done...that have long overdue
so Shane's cousin Andrea took them for us...she is a wonderful photographer based in Utah.

it has been going on 6 six since we have had these done...and what a perfect time when RJ is turning 10

I am always humbled by the individuals I get the chance to meet and get to know through the lens of my camera.
I have known this handsome man for 6 years but never really took the time to get to know him.
In the hour I spent with him I left feeling like I couldn't know him any better.

we had a great time...I even got to shoot a new spot :)

he has that rugged James Dean look

we went from the vintage truck to the tracks...

we lucked out and at the end of the shoot a train came through

I love the contrast

it reminds me of how fast time really flies by when your having fun

you feel like you are standing still and everything around you is a blur

my BEAUTIFUL Princess...literally!!
we have always called her our princess and now she actually is one...well Jr. anyway!!
this her first official Grand Entry at the Cowley Spring Rodeo...she was so excited :)

she spent sometime outside the arena warming up with Princess, the horse...

and of course I couldn't stop taking photos

even when she was trying to ride away from me...LOL

she is very lucky to have such a wonderful grandpa that lets her ride his horse while he is not here

I couldn't zoom in any closer and I couldn't get in the perfect spot to get her while in the arena so I marked her for you

then it was time to ride the arena and do the Queen wave...notice the tongue sticking out...LOL!!
so cute

still can't believe my baby girl is this big...I will never take any moment for granted that I get to spend with her...this is the only time I have and I am so grateful for this realization.

ok so can you blame me for being so proud of my little girl
for her accomplishment...I mean wouldn't you be

On the Saturday she attended her first queening(this is what a rodeo queen, princess etc. contest is called) clinic. Starting at 10am and going until after 2pm with not so nice weather.

I even learned some stuff about using clippers on your horse while I was there watching

Papa and Georgi came out also

watching her that day made me realize just how fast time goes by and really it is in a blink of an eye...

very focused here on the grooming instructions

this is something that the girls had to do on their own...to take the reins from over the horses head and be able to stand next to the horse
seriously look at how tall she is
one word
"WOW"

then some one on one couching about what to do and expect at the queening

the actual queening day!!
she was soooooo excited
she went in the arena to warm up her horse and never wanted to get off
she loves being a little cowgirl

after the arena was emptied she was 2nd to take her turn
while we were waiting for her turn she was sitting on her horse and then started shaking and told me she was getting really nervous...so I told her to just go out there and have FUN
that put a big smile on her face
and so she did

she was calm and did the pattern on her horse with ease

when the judges came up to evaluate her apperance and the horses they told her
"you were smart to have a string for your hat", ( it was so stinkin windy that day that they actually made it so if you didn't want to you didn't have to wear your hat),
she got a huge smile on her face

then climbed back up on her horse and did what is called the queen lap
where you ride one time around the arena waving.

the girls all had to wait their turn to be seen by the judges to be asked questions

she finally got called in and stood patiently while the talked amongst themselves and then asked her her questions

then came the waiting in anticipation for the judges decision

then

her name was called as the new Lovell Mustang Days Rodeo Junior Princess of 2010

accepting her masses of prizes as well as her buckle(tiara and sash will come this week)

I know this is a play by play but for those that were not able to be here with us I didn't want you to feel like you missed out on anything...
except the wind :)

this is a unique couple.
They have certainly been on different roads but they were always curving toward each other.

You know that saying..."A match made in Heaven"...well this is it.

Being on different roads has given them both their own 4 kids...so I am sure you can do the math and guess how many kids will be all together now!! 8...yes that is correct, together they will have 8 children...not a small thing to take on.

They certainly have a LOVE that will get them through it all.

The Wedding:

I Love the symbolism the unity candle represents...to separate souls joining to become one...so simple but so powerful.

nothing like a winter wonderland to make you feel fresh and renewed...perfect for a new beginning.

I pray nothing but blessing for you both on your new road together...may the sun always be at your back and may you always have love in your hearts.

the Cowboy way

Shane makes a great model...
when I do his photos like this it makes me think of how lucky I am to have him
and that he is so willing to do things for me that I LOVE.

when you think about the life of a Cowboy in the past you think how lucky they are to have everything they needed in hand...their saddle, rope, gun, etc...but

what I see is a lonely life...a life never settled or touched by loved ones

they had the freedom of open range

they had the companionship of a very loyal friend, one who is there to help the best he knows how and to just love them, no questions asked

so really they did have it all, to them anyway.
still to say the Cowboy life is a thing of the past, is not so around here

even Shane is a modern day Cowboy...not just because we have horses,
it is because he is a Cowboy at heart and lives the Cowboy way...

with dignity, honor, by his word, service and caring for.

most would not think of themselves as a Cowboy simply because they don't have horses, a hat, or some boots...but that is just the makeup, not the true Cowboy.

a true cowboy is anyone who wants to blaze a new trail, who has upstanding attributes and who is gentle at heart but strong enough to carry the world, if asked, without complaints.
I can thankfully say that Shane is one of those people.
I love you Shane and thank you for all you do for us and all you sacrifice for us...we would not be a family with out you at the head of it.

our home is all decorated for Christmas...at least the inside
just thought I'd share a little of what we have to help us get in the Spirit of things...
every year we hike and find our own tree...it is a tradition I can't seem to justify stopping just because I want a fake tree

Rylie enjoys putting the ornaments on...I have certain ones I put on this one and then she has a small tree for her room and all the FUN ornaments go on that one...
here are a few of my favorites

i took all these shots in the dark and with manual focus...messing around with new things that I have been reading about...

and lastly our Angel...she is tall, so we have to cut the top of the tree off for her to fit under our short ceiling...her wings move and change color...isn't she BEAUTIFUL?!

then I think this says it all

I so Love this saying...it really puts into perspective the true reason for the season...

dancing is one thing we do allot of in this house
Rylie loves it when we just play music and dance around the house...
she is in dance this year again and has loved it now that she is bigger and they do more moves...
Her Dance recital was last week and I got a few photos of her

we weren't sitting in the best spot to see her the whole time...but i was glad I got what I did

she can't wait until she can be in the older groups so she can do this...

Rylie loves to cook...
so I let her make a pizza for dinner

she did all of it herself except for the oven part

she had so much fun
makes me think she might become a better cook than me...

i love the times I can just spend teaching her things that she will be able to keep with her forever
and also just being silly with her

she keeps me young and on my toes...always wanting to try new things or do what ever i am doing

she is so silly and i love it...she is the one that makes us a family

Ella and Adrian are very proud parent of 6 cuties...and here they are

and still love each other...even if the kids don't want to see...LOL

in the end it all went well...

and yes there was ice and snow on the ground so yes it was cold...so this was what happened when it was all over...

the kids couldn't run fast enough to get back into the truck.

I feel so much gratitude when I can take photos for clients when it is so icy cold out and still have smiles like these.
Here are the Jensen's a family of 6 2 girls 2 boys and of course mom & dad...

this was not the ideal conditions for doing a photo session, but since they came all the way from Cody we went for it...

seriously can this family get any more good looking?

here is a couple that truly Loves each other...and really that's all you need to stay warm...

then there oldest daughter Chelsea...she was great, even though she was the only one in a skirt she braved the cold wind like a champ and still came out beautiful!!

I love that name so old fashion and worth remembering since she was the one that stole the show...

it really brought such a warm feel and it was awesome (thanks to Shane ) to find a way down...

nothing like some kisses from your boys to warm you up

and some hugs from your girls to do the same...

and then just plan blowing in the wind for fun

not just another Senior

It is so fun taking Senior portraits...
It reminds me of when I was in High School...which was long ago, it seems...and how much fun everything was.
I still think things are fun, but I suppose life gets in the way sometimes...which I am all for except it is nice to step out of my "LIFE" and into someone elses.
I had the opportunity to take photos of one of my closest friends son...Christopher.

it was a cold and windy day that day...but I still had fun

he did too!!!

I took these at there home...I loved the red barn

I love having the symbolism in my photos...
for instance the road.

it represents the road they are on and journey ahead...all that is waiting for them

life is full of different roads...so choose wisely

last night was parent teacher conference...
Shane and I went in there thinking that she is doing well but had no idea what we were going to learn about her days in school...
The first thing we did was talk about her Reading...she is reading at a 6th grade level...and has an 89%, almost an A
next was her Writing...the highest score you can have is an 85% & she has an 84%, a B
in Spelling she has a 97%, an A
then came Math...dun dun dun...and low and behold she has an 81%, a B...we would never had thought she was going to get caught up with the whole week she had missed being sick but she has and then some...
then came Social Studies(Wyoming History)...she is at 90%, an A
in PE she is at 100%, an A+++...LOL, you go girl!!!
in Art she is at 86%, a B
in Music she is at 91%, an A
we can't stop telling her how proud we are of her and all her hard work...her teacher told us she is a "JOY" to have in class.
she has also graded a 3 in all her Life Skills and Social Skills(Rubric Grading Scale).
I was just so proud that I had to post for all to see...especially for family that does not live near us.
RJ, you blow us away sometimes with how smart you are and what a good girl you are...we couldn't have asked for a better ROO BUG!!!
We LOVE you and are so Thankful for you!!

while I was down in California for my first trip I had the chance to capture some moments of some very special people to me...
My In-laws
I have been apart of this wonderful family for 11 years...we have always done silly photo opts but never really have I had a chance to capture these 2 wonderful people like I did this time

they held hands like they have been together for only a few years...instead of 32 years or there about...

they have a Love that will last the eternities...

the first time I ever met them I felt like I belonged in this family and they have always treated me so...

it is not everyday that you can say you have the BEST in-laws...and I am so grateful I can

steeling little moments of laughter,kisses,holding hands...

trying not to get in the way of a moment...but being able to capture it so that others can see what it is I saw...

True Love...

to the BEST in-laws ever...I love you like my own parents and thank you for this chance I had to see you as you truly are...
A couple that will always be able to look at each other and know that they are the reason for everything...

new addition...

here is our new addition to the family...our horse family that is.

Meet Pete...a POA pony we got for RJ. He is 3 years old and is 14 hands tall...we got him for her cause she is serious about starting to race barrels next spring.

he is green broke so we have some work to do but he is so eager to please it is not going to be very hard...

he has already bonded with RJ...she adores him and he follows her everywhere

taking him to the round pen to work him...

watching Daddy work him...she has learned so much from watching I don't think it will be long until she is doing it herself...

little girls and there dreams...we are so happy we can make hers come true...
